The Office of Developmental Programs’ (ODP) believes that people with disabilities receiving services benefit when staff who support them are well trained. Providing professional training that strengthens relationships and partnerships between individuals, families, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) will improve the quality of support. Through Performance Based Contracting (PBC) ODP is working to establish workforce stability, portability of training for DSPs and FLSs, a career ladder through Pay for Performance (P4P), and increase the DSP and FLS knowledge, skills and values.
