Providers are sometimes unsure whether an individual Direct Support Professional (DSP) meets the qualifications to provide AAW services. In these cases, the provider can request that BSASP review the DSP’s credentials to determine whether they are acceptable.

For Behavioral Specialist Services, Systematic Skill Building, Supports Coordination, and Career Planning, providers may complete and submit the AAW Qualifications Review Form and follow the instructions on the form to submit credentials for review.

For other services, providers do not need to use the form but should send the request to ra-pwbasprovenroll@pa.gov with “DSP Qualification Review” in the subject line with the documents to be reviewed.

Please note: The provider agency—not the DSP—should make this request.
