Goals, next steps or actions plans
Chester County is focusing on helping the individuals we work with obtain employment. We do this by connecting with local businesses and community organizations, such as Rotaries and Chambers of Commerce. We showcase the positives of hiring an individual with a Developmental Disability, and how this can benefit businesses. Family members and Self-Advocates come to these meetings to talk about their own work experiences. We then follow up by connecting employers looking to hire with our employment and job support network.
AE/SCO/Provider/DHS/Broad Community Partners Represented within Collaborative:
We have representatives from the Chester County Administrative Office, several Supports Coordination Organizations, Provider Organizations such at the ARC of Chester County, Self-Advocates, and family members. We continue to grow and welcome new members.
