Communication and Meetings Structure

The Cumberland/Perry, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon (CPDLL) Regional Collaborative for Engaging & Supporting Families communicates mostly through emails and meets over Microsoft Teams to allow for maximum participation. We meet approximately 8 times a year, as availability allows.

Any participating County IDD Director may be contacted should you wish to be connected to the CPDLL Regional Collaborative.

Goals, next steps or actions plans

Mission:

The mission of the CPDLL Regional Collaborative for Engaging & Supporting Families is to empower families so they may support self-determination, nurture independence, and foster inclusion for all members. We encourage high expectations for their loved ones’ lives, providing a roadmap that unites families and allies in creating an inclusive and fulfilling everyday life for all.

Goals:

Create mutually beneficial programmatic connections with local organizations to engage under-represented populations. (i.e. IUs, Community Centers, School Districts, Civic Organizations, Cultural Groups, etc.)

Increase the number of individuals, families, and allies within the CPDLL Regional Collaborative so we maintain a clear vision of the wants and needs of the I/DD community at all points in the lifelong journey.

Conduct a broad survey of families about their needs, gaps in resources, desire/ability to engage, etc.

Update the Regional Collaborative’s Trajectory
Discuss how to implement our goals: across the large group and at the Joinder/County level
