Supportive Technology Open House

August 6, 2024 between 10 AM and 2 PM

ODP and the Temple Institute on Disabilities invites you to join a free event aimed at teaching participants about different types of Assistive Technology (AT). Assistive Technology refers to products, equipment, and systems that enhance learning, working, and daily living for individuals with disabilities.

The event, which will be held on the Temple University campus in Philadelphia, features demonstrations and opportunities for hands-on experience in a broad range of AT focused on increasing independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. The event will cover:

  • Daily living
  • Adaptive Gaming
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Low vision and blindness
  • Much more…

This event is being sponsored by ODP’s Expanding Technology to Support Independence workgroup whose focus is to identify ways in which technology can be used to support individuals with disabilities to acquire, maintain, or improve skills necessary to live independently.

Registration is required. For more information, including the event address, visit the registration link below.
