ODP Bulletin 00-22-04 Referring Children to the County IDA Programs
The Department of Human Services (DHS), specifically the Office of Developmental Programs, the Office of Children, Youth, and Families, the Office of Child Development and Early Learning, the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and the Office of Medical Assistance Programs is proud to release the DHS joint bulletin, Referring Children to the County Intellectual Disability and Autism Programs. This bulletin offers guidance on the process of referring a child who has, or is suspected to have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability, developmental disability, and/or autism (ID/DD/A). Referring a child to the county ID/A program can provide eligible children and their families with access to information, services, and supports in the community, as well as assistance with preparing for life’s transitions through childhood into adulthood.
