EHR and HIO Funding Opportunity

Pennsylvania Rural Health Transformation Plan (RHTP) has announced new funding opportunities for healthcare providers in rural areas. Under the new RHTP Funding Opportunity, $25,000,000 in funding is available for:

• Hospitals
• Long-term care nursing facilities
• Home health agencies
• Behavioral health providers
• Community homes for individuals with disabilities or autism
• Intermediate care facilities for individuals with disabilities with autism

Funding will be distributed to:

• Update or implement a Certified Electronic Health Record Technology (CEHRT) system in accordance with 45 CFR § 170.315 and become a participant in one of the Commonwealth’s five certified Health Information Organizations (HIOs) and fully onboard to the P3N; or
• Participate in one of the Commonwealth’s five certified HIOs and fully onboard to the P3N.
