Department of Aging Seeking Input for Caregiver Toolkit

Caregivers played a crucial role in developing Aging Our Way, PA, and they remain a key priority in transforming the aging experience in the Commonwealth. Through more than 200 listening sessions, emails, mails, and phone calls during the plan’s development, caregivers from across the Commonwealth indicated they need more tools and resources to maintain the level of care for their loved ones to remain in their homes and communities.

As one of the plan’s tactics, the Department of Aging (PDA) will create a Caregiver Toolkit to address the key challenges caregivers face and provide practical solutions and resources to support them. This toolkit will offer resources to all caregivers including spouses, adult children, siblings, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, grandparents raising grandchildren, and professionals. If you provide care and/or assistance to a partner, family member, friend, or neighbor with an underlying chronic or behavioral health condition or a physical, intellectual, or developmental disability, PDA wants to hear from you by completing the survey below.
