Community Mobility and Participation of Autistic Adults Study (COMPAAS)

Drexel University is conducting a study on the community mobility and participation of autistic adults (COMPAAS). COMPAAS is seeking autistic adults who live in the Philadelphia area to help researchers learn about how often people leave their homes, the amount of time they spend in the community, the places they go, and other factors associated with community participation.

Why Participate:

  • COMPAAS research is focused on the needs of autistic adults.
  • The study can help us learn how communities can be more accessible and inclusive.

What you will do:

You will participate in the study for about three weeks

  • Two interviews to share your experiences and needs with research staff
  • 14 days of sharing your location using a GPS app (with privacy controls)
  • Short daily surveys about where you are and what you’re doing.

Who can sign up: 

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Have a diagnosis of autism
  • Not currently in high school
  • Live in Philadelphia area
  • Communicate in English

Study Compensation:

Participants will receive compensation for their time.
