Public Comment and Review of Adult Autism Waiver Proposed Amendment

The Department of Human Services is making available for public review and comment the Office of Developmental Programs’ proposed amendment to the Adult Autism Waiver. In addition to written comments, ODP will also hold a webinar to receive comments on the proposed waiver amendment.

Consolidated and P/FDS Waiver Renewals Overview and Public Comment

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is making available for public review and comment, Appendices A through H of the Office of Developmental Programs’ (ODP) proposed renewals of the Consolidated and Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS) Waivers. The public comment period is 12/3/16 to 1/17/17.

Home and community-based waivers permitted under section 1915(c) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.A. § 1396n(c)) are approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for a five-year renewal period. The current Consolidated and P/FDS Waivers expire on June 30, 2017; therefore, the proposed renewals of the Waivers are to be submitted to CMS no later than March 30, 2017.

ODP will host three live webinars to provide an overview of the major changes proposed in the waiver renewals with the remaining time reserved for participants to provide public comment.
