November Communication Corner – Language vs Communication

The latest edition of Communication Corner is now available! Communication Corner is a monthly publication from the Bureau of Supports for Autism and Special Populations that focuses on communication skills for support professionals.

The November 2021 issue focuses on establishing the distinctions between language and communication.  Emphasizing that language is just one tool in our communication toolbelt, it is important to explicitly name the distinctions between communication and language as it can help us think more holistically about the ways in which we transmit meaning. This issue, Language vs Communicationoffers simple strategies for a supporter’s communication comprehension.
